If you are thinking about visiting Karen Vineyard Church, or have just done so for the first time, you are very welcome.
We enjoy having people pop in on a Sunday morning to see who we are and how we worship. If you're visiting from another church we hope you will take our greetings back. If you're looking for a church to join, we'd be happy to talk to you - with no pressure at all.
Visiting a church can be a lonely and sometimes intimidating experience. We would like to assist by connecting you to others who probably felt the same way at one time. We hope you will become part of the community that God is creating here.
God’s Kingdom is comprised of people who are on an exciting journey of faith. This journey is not an aimless wandering but an adventure marked by purpose. You are welcome to join us whether you have been on this journey for many years, have newly started out with Jesus, or don’t yet know him.
The road map for following Jesus, also described as discipleship, is different for each person. We are all unique. At the same time we share similar struggles, challenges and victories. We intend all our community activities are conducted in an atmosphere of love, acceptance and grace.
We accept people just as we find them because that is what Jesus did with each of us. We hope that you will be enriched in your relationship with Jesus by your connection with our family and that we will be able to share this journey of faith together.
So please join us for tea, coffee or a soft drink after the service and have a chat. You can find our integration staff near the Ushers’ table. Fill in the welcome form, too – we’d love to know more about you, and you can tell us if there is anything we can do for you.
Every month or so we have a newcomer’s table where we’ll have some special refreshments just for you. Here, we’d like to make sure you are getting integrated into our church life, through the home groups and other venues and events that our members enjoy.
Once in a while we host meals for newcomers where the pastor explains the distinctives of the Vineyard movement of churches. From time to time this leads into a special series of four weekly meetings that take the discussion further. If you are interested in joining in with one of those, let the integration staff know or contact the office.
See you Sunday!
